Mike Ivemeyer is understood as an assertive, empathetic, and encouraging Case Manager and Clinician. He has been working in behavioral health and with those suffering from substance use disorders for eight years. Mike believes that an inability to cope without impulsive behaviors or actions is the primary reason for most people suffering with an addiction or dependency issue.
He obtains fulfillment each and every day participating in the growth, recovery and change in others. Mike has previously worked with special populations, including those with IV drug dependency issues, high opiate use and crisis intervention. Mike enjoys working with families as well, understanding that addiction can be a family illness, focusing on healthy relationships, accountability boundaries and support. Mike has direct and first-hand experience with addictions and dependency issues and has been sober for nine years without relapse. Mike attest his continued sobriety and growth to the intensive work he does with those still suffering during active treatment, aftercare and during active use.
Mike is originally from the Orange County area and has worked with and helped over 10,000 individuals begin their path to recovery and sobriety. In regards to Clinical Management, Mike works with the current clinical team on continued training, cultural competencies and continued education on the ever changing and evolving addiction, behavioral health and substance use disorder field.
