Cyndi’s goal in her role as the intake coordinator for First Steps Recovery is to help individuals move from decision point to treatment with care and efficiency. Her experience comes from real life: she has her own personal journey with recovery, two of her own children have substance use disorders, as well she is a foster parent for children of addicts that have lost their ability to parent.
All of these realities, and more, translate to a person who is emotionally invested in helping others and driven to get them the help they need. Understanding that recovery can be a tumultuous time for families and the recovering person, her passion is to help families through this difficult time with ease and compassion.
Currently holding her CAADE-R, she embarked on a journey into the substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment industry nearly 20 years ago. Her experience in the field has given her crucial insight into the causes, consequences, and processes of recovery from addiction. She is proud of the fact that she is working for a addiction treatment organization that shares her beliefs in providing safe, ethical treatment that is sympathetic to both clients and families.
