Scott Hongola is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. After working in mergers and acquisitions for over a decade, Scott was pulled towards behavioral healthcare as he watched a number of close friends and family members struggling with substance use disorders and mental health issues. Scott completed his Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and began working in the behavioral healthcare field as an accountant and advocate for more affordable and accessible care.
Scott currently acts as the Chief Financial Officer, managing the day to day finance operations of First Steps Recovery. He is also involved with the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare (NABH), a non-profit organization that advocates for parity and further expanding access to behavioral healthcare for individuals and families in need.
Scott received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of San Diego and his Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University. He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of California for the past 15 years.
